Emirates Stadium side chase Upton Park contract rebel.
Arsenal will look to lure West Ham defender Winston Reid to the Emirates Stadium as Arsene Wenger seeks to strengthen his defence according to the Daily Mail.
The 26 year old New Zealand international initially struggled following his move to Upton Park back in August 2010 but has matured into a very capable performer.
The Kiwi is out of contract next summer and may well be tempted by a move to the Emirates Stadium, where he would challenge the likes of Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker and teenager Calum Chambers for a centre-back berth.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce would be loathed to lose Reid, who is by some distance West Ham’s most consistent defensive option, but the east London side may be forced to consider January offers for the tough tackler in preference to seeing the Auckland born star leave for nothing at the end of the season.
