White Hart Lane side chase Stamford Bridge bit-part player.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will launch a January move for Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah as he seeks to conduct something of an attacking re-shuffle.

Pochettino is ready to listen to offers for England international pair Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend as he pushes to bring in Egyptian international Salah, who is essentially a bit-part player at Stamford Bridge.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho has sensibly looked to offload players he deemed surplus to requirements in recent transfer windows, selling Juan Mata, David Luiz and Romelu Lukaku, to help fund moves for new additions and may be tempted by accept offers for 22 year old Salah.

Pochettino has been given the backing of White Hart Lane chairman Daniel Levy to mount a move for Salah and the north London side are ready to offer £13m for the former FC Basel wide-man, who cost Chelsea £11m back in January.

Though Salah is thought to be happy with life at Chelsea he is some way down Mourinho’s attacking pecking order, managing just eight minutes of Premier League action thus far this term.

The likes of Ander Schurrle, Eden Hazard and Willian are ahead of Salah in Mourinho’s plans whilst a move to Tottenham could certainly provide the speedy Blues attacker a better shot at regular first team action.
