The Scottish striker joined the Spanish giants at the age of 13 and has progressed through the ranks and put in an outstanding display in last week’s UEFA Youth League victory over Basle, alerting a number of watching scouts.
Rodgers is known for his penchant for bringing in young talents and may feel that the 18 year old Real Madrid starlet is one for the future though one imagines the La Liga side would be looking to keep hold of such a prospect.
Liverpool signed a number of youngsters over the summer with the likes of Lazar Markovic, Divock Origi and Emre Can being among the best young talents in Europe and coupled with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Philippe Coutinho, John Flanagan, Suso and Samed Ye?il bodes well for the Merseyside outfit’s long term plans.
