Nathaniel Clyne scored a contender for goal of the season with a thunderbolt strike, which put Southampton ahead against Arsenal in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

Clyne struck a hard shot from around 35-yards out, and the ball flew high into the net, speeding past the despairing dive of David Ospina in the Gunners goal. Ospina took a step to his right, leaving him unbalanced, but credit to Clyne – whose strike was an absolute rocket. See it here:
