Arsenal And Chelsea Given a Boost As Target’s PSG Contract Talks Hit The Buffers

Adrien Rabiot looks set to leave the Parc des Princes on a free transfer next summer.

Arsenal and Chelsea have received a transfer market boost today, report the Express, after it emerged that new contract talks between midfielder Adrien Rabiot and his club, Paris Saint Germain, have once again hit the buffers due to the young midfielder’s exorbitant wage demands.

Both clubs were linked with the young starlet this summer, but PSG appear to have kept hold of him as they seek to secure a new deal with one of French football’s most exciting young talents – but Rabiot’s demands for a £4 million per year deal, plus generous appearance and goal bonuses have not gone down well in the corridors of power at the Parc des Princes.

The report suggests that PSG would rather risk losing the 19 year-old on a free transfer when his deal expires next summer than cave in to his demands, news that will have pricked the ears of both London clubs, who are reportedly vying to offer Rabiot the best deal to secure his signature on a pre-contract ahead of a bosman move next summer.

A French Under 21 international midfielder, Rabiot has largely been on the fringes of the PSG first team due to their wealth of talent in the central midfield area, with a lack of playing time under Laurent Blanc another issue preventing him from penning a new deal with the club.
