Wayne Routledge commits future to Liberty Stadium until at least 2018.

Swansea City winger Wayne Routledge has signed a one year extension to his contract. The 29-year-old winger is now tied to the club till 2018.

The Englishman played for nine clubs over the first ten years of his career, but has finally settled at Swansea. He has made over 100 appearances since Brendan Rodgers brought him to South Wales for around £2m in 2011.

The new deal rewards Routledge’s role in Swansea’s strong start to the season, his highlights including setting up Gylfi Sigurdsson for the winner in the opening day win against Manchester United, and scoring an acrobatic goal of the month contender against West Brom.
