Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has dismissed the rumours linking his star player Raheem Sterling to Champions League holders Real Madrid.
The teenage starlet has been phenomenal in a largely struggling Liverpool side this season, earning him consistent transfer links to Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Rodgers though is sure that the 19-year-old will not leave Anfield, and will sign a new contract with the Reds.
“You could link Raheem with just about any club in the world, he’s a fantastic talent,” Rodgers claimed.
“I’m sure he’ll get his new contract in good time.”
Sterling’s scored three goals so far this term, and is set to start the Merseyside derby against Everton on Saturday lunchtime.
