The Spaniard left Real Madrid after becoming frustrated with the lack of first team opportunities at the Santiago Bernabeu and admits a move to Turin interested him straight away.

”They were the first team interested in me, whilst there were many teams interested, even in Spain. They have been trying for me for a long time, from when I was not doing well, and this stayed with me.

”I knew that Juve were one of the great clubs of Europe and the best club in Italy. Here I can improve myself, in my position and in other positions. I am happy.”

The striker is set to play for the Bianconeri in their Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid and although he believes it will be a tough game against the La Liga champions, he backs Juve to triumph in the Spanish capital.

”I think it will be very difficult,” Morata added.

”We know that Atletico Madrid are one of the strongest teams in Europe in recent years and they certainly play well, but we go there with the intention of winning.”

Although Real Madrid hold a buy-back clause in their agreement with Juventus Morata insists he is not thinking about returning to Los Blancos.

”Everyone at Real Madrid knows that I have special affection for them. They helped me to get to where I am today.

”Right now I am at Juve, I want to have a great year, then we will see.”
