Wilshere trains ahead of the match.

There is some good news for Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger ahead of their Champions League clash with Galatasaray on Wednesday as Jack Wilshere has been spotted in training.

Wenger has something of a selection headache – particularly in midfield – as the Gunners aim to put their first points of this season’s campaign on the board.

The North London side currently have captain Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey out in the centre, whilst Mathieu Debuchy, Nacho Monreal, Serge Gnabry, Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud and Yaya Sanogo make up a crowded absentee list.

Wenger’s men lost their Champions League opener in 2014/15 to Borussia Dortmund and will be wanting to get back on track as soon as possible.

It is however becoming something of a frustrating theme for fans at the Emirates Stadium to see the number of players unavailable due to injury being alarmingly high.

Wilshere has been a stalwart in the starting XI so far this term, making 10 appearances in all competitions and scoring once.

There has been a lot of criticism aimed at the England international in recent times from the likes of Manchester United legend Paul Scholes and many believe this is the time the 22-year-old needs to start living up to his expectations.
