World Cup winner poised for Gunners switch.
Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has finally accepted a move to Arsenal, according to reports in Spain.
Khedira was persistently linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, but his much-discussed departure from the La Liga giants was seemingly halted by Xabi Alonso’s sale to Bayern Munich in August.

It appears that Arsenal remain keen on Khedira, while the player himself has his heart set on a transfer to England.
According to Fichajes.NET, Khedira has recently agreed to join the Gunners, who now need only to strike a deal with Real.
The Champions League holders are in a difficult negotiating position because Khedira has just nine months left to run on his current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Khedira has made just two La Liga appearances for Real so far this season and both have been as a substitute.
He would almost certainly be a first-team regular should his transfer to Arsenal materialise.
Defensive midfield is one of Arsenal’s weakest positions right now, with Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini past their peak.
