Falcao made a shock deadline day move to Manchester United, joining Louis van Gaal’s already impressive attacking force along with players like di Maria, Wayne Rooney, and Robin van Persie.

The 28-year-old has looked good in all of his outings for the Premier League club so far, but hadn’t managed to get on the score sheet until Sunday’s match against the underperforming Toffees.

It was obviously a great moment for Falcao on a personal level, but more importantly it gave United the win which has seen them shoot up the table and into the top four.

Angel di Maria has been one of the signings of the season so far, carrying what has been a sub-par United as they struggle through a difficult transition period.

He was the Man of the Match this weekend, and had this to say about his new teammate after the game, “Yes, it’s great for him. He’s been looking for that first goal for a while now and it’s very, very important for him now.”

“I think not only him but ourselves are on the right road now and the main thing is we’re fighting for victories and fighting for points. We’ve got the three points for the day and hopefully we can now move further up the table.”

The Argentine joined the club for a British record £59.7m, and looks to be earning his hefty fee so far. His Colombian teammate signed on loan for £6m, but with the possibility of him signing on a permanent basis at the end of the season, we could see it rise to as much as £50m
