Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri has said that he wants to remain at the Allianz Arena and fight for his place at the Bundesliga winners, the Daily Star reports.

During the summer, the 22-year-old complained that he wasn’t being given enough first team opportunities by Bayern coach Pep Guardiola.
This led to speculation that he could leave the German giants, with Liverpool thought to be plotting a January bid for the Swiss star.
However, Shaqiri has now messed up Brendan Rodgers January plans by confirming that he wants to remain with Bayern Munich.
Shaqiri said: “I’ve still got a contract until 2016 and the club have already told me I won’t be going anywhere so I’ve just got to accept that.
“For as long as I am here, I will give everything I’ve got.
“I try to do my best in training and when the coach rewards me with appearances, like today against Hannover, then that’s even better.
“I’m always delighted when I can start games, and I show that too, like I did this time.
“I think everybody could see how hungry I am to play football.”
Despite spending over £100 million on new players this summer, Liverpool have looked a shadow of the side that took the Premier League by storm last season.
The Reds are currently 9th in the Premier League table, leading to suggestions that Rodgers may spend heavily in January to re-start his side’s season.
