However, with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Ajax also scouting the 19 year-old wonderkid, they are likely to face stiff competition for the signing of a player who is almost certain to move on from Heerenveen either in January or next summer.

For a player who has made just 20 appearances in the Eredivisie, Sinkgraven has a burgenoning reputation and his displays for the club this season have seen scouts flocking to the club’s Abe Lenstra Stadion to monitor his progress.

Indeed, Sinkgraven has now also been called up to the Dutch Under 21 squad after appearing for the Oranje in every age level from Under 17s upwards and is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young players on the continent.

Whether Sinkgraven is available in January largely depends on the form of Heerenveen, who have enjoyed a good start to the Eredivisie season and will be determined to hold on to their star youngster until the end of the season if they are still in with a chance of securing a return to European football once the window reopens in January.
