The club are said to be in talks with Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling, Philippe Coutinho and Steven Gerrard to get them to sign contract extensions.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is desperate to keep the majority of his squad together and has been given the green light to offer lucrative extensions.

Last week star striker Daniel Sturridge has already signed up for another five-years, whilst talks with Joran Henderson and Raheem Sterling are ongoing.

Following that, Rodgers will then look to sit down with Brazilian playmaker Coutinho before sorting out one final deal for club captain Steven Gerrard.

However, England international full-back Glen Johnson looks to be heading for the exit doors after he admitted that talks surrounding his own extension had “gone quiet” recently.
