Could Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez be facing punishment from the FA after punching Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic at Stamford Bridge?
There was definitely some bad blood between Arsenal and Chelsea during their Premier League meeting this weekend, with a number of potential red card challenges flying in.

But there was one incident that seems to have gone completely unnoticed by the officials; Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez swinging a flailing arm at Chelsea right-back Branislav Ivanovic.
The Serbian doesn’t seem to react in any way, suggesting that the blow probably didn’t connect. Ivanovic is also no stranger to turning the football pitch into a boxing ring, with the Blues defender famously flooring Wigan’s Shaun Maloney after a punch to the kidneys.
Nothing seems to have surfaced about the incident so far, but Arsenal fans will be hoping there is no retrospective action taken against their summer signing.
The Chilean has been in good form so far this season, despite appearing to have not fully gelled with the team just yet. Even he could do nothing to prevent Arsenal going down 2-0 to the league leaders on Sunday however.
