Despite his amazing form with the Spanish giants, reports have suggested that Ronaldo would like to return to Old Trafford while several current United players have urged him to come back to the 20 time league champions including goalkeeper David De Gea.

With reports suggesting a move may happen next summer, Bale has decided to step in and persuade the 29-year-old to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“He’s obviously a player we wouldn’t want to see leave,” Bale told reporters on Wednesday. “Of course I want to see him stay at Real Madrid.
