The Loftus Road side will look to lure the 30 year old from north to west London after his stuttering start to the current campaign.

The former Arsenal man has netted just once in seven Premier League starts this season and could perhaps be offloaded by White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino, though one imagines only if the Argentine brings in a new striker of his own.

Redknapp will look to land Adebayor in a cut-price deal though would be only too aware of the Togo international’s large wage demands.

QPR are struggling for goals this season, having netted just four in seven matches, and sit bottom of the Premier League table and Redknapp will no doubt have his eye out for January additions that can help steer the Super Hoops away from the drop zone and Adebayor may well be an ideal option.

Redknapp is also considering a move to bring Jermain Defoe back to the English top tier from MLS side Toronto FC.
