The England striker finally returned to a full training schedule today.

According to ESPN, Daniel Sturridge returned to full training today at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground, and will be ready to start for the club again after the international break.

The striker was not called up to England’s squad for the games against San Marino and Estonia, and so still has ten days to get back to match fitness before the game against QPR.

Liverpool will be desperate to have the England star back from the injury he picked up during the last international break. They have won only four points from a possible twelve since losing him, as well as losing a vital away game in Basel.

If Liverpool are to qualify from their Champions League group they will need Sturridge back to his best in the double-header against Real Madrid; equally if they are to get themselves back into the race for the Premier League title they can barely afford to lose another game till Christmas, starting with a win at QPR next Sunday.

Reds fans will hope that Sturridge will be able to use the next week to get up to speed and be ready to fit the ground running when he returns.
