The Chilean had appeared to be a player the Serie A side were very keen to hold onto but the attacking midfielder’s recent behaviour will, according to this source, see the Turin side willing to accept offers of £40m for the former Bayer Leverkusen man.

Vidal has apparently tested the Bianconeri side’s patience ‘to the limit’, most recently turning up late for training after spending the night out at a club ahead of the club’s crunch fixture with AS Roma, a game he was dropped from.

Louis van Gaal forked out over £150m on new arrivals over the summer but still sees Vidal as an important target, perhaps seeing the goal-scoring midfielder as a good central midfield partner for Ander Herrera.

Since moving to Juventus in July 2011 Vidal has played a key role in three successive Serie A title triumphs, netting 30 goals in 99 appearances for the Italian giants.
