Luis Suarez returned to international duty for Uruguay for the first time since his biting ban at the World Cup this evening, with the Barcelona star playing just over an hour in his side’s 1-1 friendly draw with Saudi Arabia.
Perhaps the most notable part of Suarez’s performance in the first half was when he disappeared for a brief toilet break, but he was more lively in the second half when his fine volley came off the post and bounced in off a Saudi defender.
His lack of fitness was shown when he missed a simple one-on-one chance, however, before a late Saudi equaliser stunned Oscar Tabarez and his side – although Suarez had left the pitch by this point. Watch his individual highlights below:
