Arsenal are set to miss out on one of their top targets as PSG’s Adrien Rabiot is desperate for Serie A switch…

Arsenal target Adrien Rabiot has revealed that he may never play for PSG again after being demoted to the reserves, and that he is desperate to secure a move to Serie A and Roma this January, reports Goal.

The 19-year-old confirmed that he was ready to join the Italian side in the summer, before the move mysteriously broke down and he was forced to remain at the Parc des Princes.

He is currently in the final year of his contract, and PSG will be hoping not to lose him for nothing at the end of the season.

Arsenal and Chelsea are also reportedly interested in the Frenchman, but he seems to prefer a move to Italy over the Premier League.

“With Roma, everything was done. It was my choice. I had already decided to wear their shirt. And to be honest, I don’t understand why the deal collapsed,” he told Canal+.

“I don’t know if I will play again for PSG. It was not my choice to play for the reserve team team but it’s a pleasure to play football, even training and playing in the fourth tier.

“I’m available to the coach [Laurent Blanc] and he’ll decide. We speak very often and he told me that he would love this situation to be resolved.

“Now, we just have to will wait until January to see what we can do.”

The youngster definitely seems like he has already decided to leave, so it seems there is no chance of a contract extension whether PSG want to retain his services or not.

If Arsene Wenger is to have any hope of signing his compatriot then he will have to move fast, it may already be too late as the midfielder has spoken very highly of Roma.
