The international break was once again cruel on Liverpool, who saw starting centre-back Dejan Lovren pick up an injury with Croatia, and Lazar Markovic was cut down while with Serbia.
There is no word on exactly how long the pair will remain out, if any time at all, but if they are unavailable next weekend, Brendan Rodgers will need to shuffle his pack.
Daniel Sturridge and Joe Allen are both fit again, while Mamadou Sakho will certainly replace Lovren if the £20m man isn’t fit enough.
