The 27 year old German internatioanl has been strongly linkd with a move to Arsenal but now it appears Khedira will be reunited with his former Bernabeu boss whilst Cech will have a similar reunion with former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti is apparently very interested in bringing in 32 year old Czech Republic keeper Cech, who has fallen behind young Belgian Thibaut Courtois in the Blues pecking order, and may see the Chelsea man as a more viable option than error prone legend Iker Casillas.

Madrid are very interested in landing experienced glovesman Cech and are happy to hand Khedira over to get their man.

Arsenal are only proposing a cash deal and Madrid have made it clear they would favour doing business with Chelsea now instead.

It’s not immediately obvious as to where Khedira would fit into Mourinho’s starting eleven plans, not least as Serbian battler Nemanja Matic has been in superb form this term though the Real Madrid man may be seen as a better back-up option than the likes of Ramires and John Obi Mikel.
