The Blues have secured a deal for Thibaut Courtois long-term replacement!
Chelsea have finalised a deal for 13-year-old goalkeeper Nicolas Tié, reports French publication L’Equipe.
Not much is know about the wonderkid who plays for his hometown club FC Poitiers, but the main hype which surrounds the teenager revolves around the fact that he’s already 5 ft. 10″ tall!
Arsenal and Manchester City were also heavily interested in the French prodigy, but Chelsea have won the race for his signature.
He will join the club in 2016, when he reaches his 16th birthday.
The Blues already have two of the world’s best goalkeepers on their books, but are keen on preparing for the future, too.
Veteran stopper Petr Cech can’t get in the side right now because of the brilliant Belgian Thibaut Courtois, who himself is only 22-years-old.
It looks increasingly unlikely that Cech will be able to force his way into the side ahead of Courtois, and we can expect Cech to pine for a move when the January transfer window opens, Sky Sports reported.
