Through his Twitter account, former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has given us a glimpse into his fascinating world.
The roller-coaster that is Michael Owen’s post-retirement life has just taken another stomach-churning twist, with the striker admitting that he has just watched his eighth film.
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid star has already repeatedly stressed his dislike of the visual medium, but has confessed to having watched another piece of cinema during a flight home from China.

And then, without warning, followed up with a list of the exact eight films he has seen:

The list covers all the bases, from bland 90’s horror film “Ghost”, to 90’s mild comedy “Cool Runnings”, all the way to dull 90’s drama “Forest Gump”. Somehow, none of these classics have appealed to the striker, who appears to prefer the thrill of “horses-running-in-straight-lines-and-sometimes-falling-over-hedges” to the world of cinema.
Fortunately for Owen, as the old adage goes, only boring people get bored, so he is unlikely to find himself in need of further entertainment any time soon.
