The midfielder ran the marathon in aid of cancer charity FUCA, and was widely supported by Argentinians on Twitter.
Newcastle United midfielder Jonas Gutierrez has run the Buenos Aires marathon for charity.
The Argentinian revealed last month that he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer, and he has put his football career on hold while he has treatment.
The midfielder, who moved to Newcastle in 2008, was famous in Spain for his “Spiderman” celebration, and he has certainly proved to be a hero himself in recent times; running the 26.2 mile course despite his illness, and raising money for FUCA (Foundation for Research, Teaching and Cancer Prevention).
