The north London side have apparently already agreed personal terms with the 27 year old defensive midfielder and should be able to land the former Stuttgart man for a reasonable fee given he is into the last year of his Bernabeu contract.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti will look to bring in Cruziero star Lucas Silva to act as Khedira’s replacement with a £15m move mooted in January.

Khedira is arguably a far better fit to fill a steely midfield berth than the either veteran captain Mikel Arteta or French terrier Mathieu Flamini.

Having spent a large amount of money on new additions over the summer the north London club will no doubt look to cost effective options to help strengthen their squad when the transfer window re-opens.
