The 21 year old won the Championship player of the month award for September and Portman Road boss Mick McCarthy has stated that his side had already rejected a ‘big offer’ for the full-back but that may only serve to tempt a bigger bid for the Ipswich Town man.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez may elect to make an offer in January whilst Blues manager Jose Mourinho may feel he can afford to wait out until the summer, not least as he had a wealth of options on either flank with the likes of Branislav Ivanovic, Cesar Azpilicueta and Felipe Luis available to fill spots in his west London side.

Ipswich Town have started the season in bright fashion, losing just two of their opening Championship fixtures, with Mings starting ten of the 11 fixtures thus far this term.
