Tottenham’s chances of moving up the Premier League stable have suffered a huge blow after top scorer Nacer Chadli and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris were injured during the international break.

Reports in the Daily Mail confirm that Chadli missed Belgium’s clash against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday with a hip complaint, while Lloris pulled out of France’s clash against Armenia on Tuesday night with a thigh problem.

Tottenham, who travel to Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday, are to assess both injuries but Belgium’s medical team are confident Chadli’s injury is not serious.

Spurs will also take comfort from comments made by France manager Didier Deschamps, who said after his team’s match last night: “It’s going a lot better for Hugo.”

Meanwhile, the source adds that Tottenham right back Kyle Walker is targeting the clash with Chelsea on 3rd December for his return from abdominal surgery. Fellow defender Milos Veljkovic, 19, is joining Middlesbrough on loan until January but could stay until the end of the season.
