Barcelona Star Gerard Pique Apologises For Arrogant & Disrespectful Police Blast

Posted by

Barcelona and Spain defender Gerard Pique has apologised on Twitter for his disrespectful behaviour towards police.

According to La Vanguardia, Pique clashed with the cops at around 2.30am on Monday morning when he was driving with brother Marc to a casino after Spain’s 4-0 win over Luxembourg.

The newspaper claim that the pair were pulled over by the police and that driver Marc was fined for parking in a bus lane for 15 minutes earlier in the evening.

Pique apparently got out of the car to talk police, who say the former Manchester United man was belligerent and highly disrespectful.

It is alleged that Pique rolled out phrases like ‘You’re jealous cos I’m famous’, ‘You’re only fining us cos you’re broke and need the commission’, and ‘this fine isn’t going to be paid anyway cos I’m gonna call your boss and he’ll drop it’.

Police then gave the fine to Marc, before Pique took it off him, rolled it up and threw it at the feet of a police officer.
