Arsenal to beat Manchester United to signing of Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels
The Red Devils could be left frustrated in their search of a world-class centre-back as the Gunners prepare a £32m bid for Hummels, according to the Daily Express.
The Germany international was strongly linked with a move away from the Signal Iduna Park over the summer, but instead decided to stay at the club he had enjoyed so much success at previously.
Concerns are growing over the capabilities of Per Mertesacker and manager Arsene Wenger wants to pair Hummels alongside Laurent Koscielny.
