Podolski has been vocal with his frustrations at not playing as much first team football as he would have liked, and may be set to make a move away from the club in January.

And reports in Portugal suggest that Arsene Wenger is now ready to offload the German international – with Inter his most likely destination – to beat Chelsea to Talisca.

Wenger apparently had the young forward scouted last week during Brazil’s under-21 clash against Bolivia, and has been highly impressed by what he has seen so far.

Chelsea are also said to be interested in landing his signature after Jose Mourinho admitted the player would already be in England if he would have been able to obtain a work permit.

But it seems that Arsenal are now being more proactive in their attempts to land the 20-year-old.
