Manchester United Star To Make Early Return From Injury Thanks To Wearing A Corset

Ander Herrera could wear protective layer during Monday’s trip to West Brom.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal could be given a huge injury boost ahead of Monday evening’s Premier League trip to West Bromwich Albion, with the Express reporting that Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera could be set to make an early return from a rib injury – by wearing a corset during the match.

Herrera picked up a rib injury during the narrow victory over West Ham three weeks ago, but has been able to train with no difficulties using a body brace – something that van Gaal has hinted could be used to allow him to make his comeback at The Hawthorns:

“Ander has had a cracked rib but could play in a corset. We have only four players injured now and that is good I believe. We have no problems with the players returning from playing internationals and I am very happy about that.”

The Herrera boost will mean that the international break has allowed United’s injury list to shrink to just four players after a torrid time in recent weeks, whilst van Gaal was also able to confirm that the club have no new worries with players who have returned from playing with their countries.
