The Arsenal boss spent seven years at Monaco prior to his move to England, and the French club would like to bring him back as soon as possible.

The club have offered him a three year contract worth an unbelievable £9.3m per season, a figure that would dwarf his current salary at Arsenal.

The Frenchman hasn’t responded yet, but he has always been very clear that he would not break a contract to move clubs. He has said on numerous occasions that he would stay at Arsenal for as long as his contract ran or for as long as the club would have him.

Despite being one of the highest paid managers in the game today, money does not seem to be a huge motivator for the Gunners boss. He was reportedly offered a £1m pay rise by Arsenal along with his latest two year contract extension, but turned down the money and simply signed the extension.
