Saturday evening’s match in League One is a huge Yorkshire derby from Valley Parade, with Nigel Clough taking his Sheffield United side to take on Bradford City with both sides lingering around the edge of the play-offs.
Much of the pre-match narrative surrounding Sheffield United has focused on the release of Ched Evans from prison and whether he could return to the club – something that has been highlighted by the struggles of the likes of Jamie Murphy and Marc McNulty for goals.
The Blades do pose a genuine threat from wider areas, however, with Jamal Campbell-Ryce likely to come into Clough’s starting line-up after changing the game in a 2-2 draw against Leyton Orient at Bramall Lane last week.
Phil Parkinson’s Bradford, meanwhile, will be keen to bounce back from defeat at Barnsley in another derby clash last weekend, with their forwards James Hanson and Aaron McLean also struggling for form.
This will put the pressure on midfielders Billy Knott, Mark Yeates and Jason Kennedy, as well as set piece specialist left back Alan Sheehan, to provide goals.
The match will be live on Sky Sports with coverage starting at 5pm. If you don’t have a Sky subscription why not grab yourself a NOW TV Sky Sports Day Pass – Pay As You Go access to all 6 Sky Sports channels for the first time ever!
