The Express has run a headline today in which they’ve mocked Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, following the news that Daniel Sturridge has picked up another injury.

Liverpool’s star striker  was all set to come back from injury against QPR on Sunday, but a further injury problem could see the 25-year-old Englishman out for another month.

Rodgers has been in a personal battle with England boss Roy Hodgson in recent weeks, with the Three Lions manager claiming Liverpool wonderkid Raheem Sterling has had tiredness ‘ingrained’ in him by Liverpool…

Rodgers (and a leading Manchester City sports scientist) responded by claiming England’s medical practices were outdated, but there’s no way the Northern Irishman can blame the international set-up for Sturridge’s latest problem.

As a result, the headline ‘Whose Fault Is It Now,’ dominated the back page, to the likely annoyance of Liverpool supporters.

The Reds take on QPR this weekend, desperate for a victory, and will now have to deploy Mario Balotelli as a lone striker.
