Reports in the Daily Mail explain that the 19-year-old, who has risen to prominence for both the Merseysiders and England in the last 12 months, is yet to agree a new deal at Anfield and there have been suggestions that Los Blancos were keen to lure him to Spain.

However, the Italian has rejected those suggestions, despite praising the starlet’s ability.

Ancelottli, whose preparing to take his team to Anfield in Wednesday’s Champions League clash, explain why he already has plenty of attacking options.

“Sterling is a player of great quality, certainly one of the best in Europe. But we already have extraordinary talent here,” Ancelotti told reporters, referencing the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Karim Benzema.

“To think of another striker for the Real Madrid attack is really extremely difficult,” he added. “It’s clear that Sterling is not in our plans.”

Ronaldo notched his 15th league goal in seven games as Madrid romped to a 5-0 win over Levante on Saturday, while Ancelotti has insisted that he will make no special plans to deal with the threat posed by Sterling because he prefers to focus on the danger posed by teams as a unit.
