The 21 year old West Brom striker is known to be a player White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino courts but one wonders if the north London side would consider forking out such a fee for the England Under 21 international.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy handed previous boss Andre Villas-Boas just under £60m to bring in Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado last summer, with mixed results, so is unlikely to want to splash the cash to that extent any time soon.

Tottenham have reportedly offered £15m for Burundi born Berahino but that doesn’t appear to be enough to convince the Baggies to sell their prized asset.

Berahino has scored 10 goals in 13 appearances for the Under 21 side and 15 goals in 45 appearances for West Brom with 23 of those coming from the bench.
