Striker has been ruled out of the Champions League tie with an injury.
It would’ve been easy to assume that the defence of Slovenian champions Maribor would’ve been delighted by the news that star Chelsea striker Diego Costa is set to miss the midweek Champions League tie with injury – but that’s not the case for Marko Suler, report the Daily Star.
Suler claims to be disappointed that he won’t be facing up to the challenge of Spain international Costa, who has been in incredible form for the Blues so far this season:
“I personally was hoping that he played, because I like the challenge.”
Loic Remy is likely to step into the shoes of Costa – and Suler is well aware of the strength in depth of the Chelsea squad as the Slovenian minnows plot a massive upset:
“Somebody else will come, maybe equally as good. It won’t help us at all.”
