First up the Magpies are ready to cut short Jamaal Lascelles’ loan spell at Nottingham Forest as Alan Pardew seeks to solidify his leaky defence, the 20 year old having signed for Newcastle United over the summer before being loaned back to his Championship side.

A lack of goals will apparently see Newcastle United seriously consider a move to re-sign West Ham forward Andy Carroll, who is seemingly surplus to requirements at the east London club following the successful starts Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho have made to their Premier League careers.

Pardew will also look to bring in Burnley striker Danny Ings with the 22 year looking to run down his Turf Moor contract which could leave the forward available on the cheap in January with Stoke and Aston Villa also interested in the former Bournemouth player.
