The 26 year old is into the final year of his Hammers contract and has been linked with interest from a host of clubs but is now a target for relegation threatened QPR.

Reid has been in great form over the past 18 months but is seemingly reticent about penning a new Upton Park deal though one wonders if a move to Loftus Road would tempt the New Zealand international.

Given that Arsenal and Man United have been sniffing around, as well as West Ham’s fine start to the season it would be something of a surprise if a move to join bottom of the table QPR would tempt Reid.

Reid has been a consistent performer for Sam Allardyce and one can see why the West Ham boss would be looking to head off any interest in the Kiwi star but if come January no new deal has been agreed then there is a chance that a cut-price offer may be accepted to avoid the loss of a free transfer exit next summer.

QPR’s loss to Liverpool on Sunday has left them rooted to the foot of the Premier League table having conceded 18 goals in their opening eight fixtures.
