Los Blancos have always had superstars at their disposal, but perhaps none quite so prolific and influential as the Portuguese superstar.

In the five years prior to Ronaldo’s switch to the Spanish capital Real scored an average of just over 72 goals per season, with 83 their best and 66 their worst. In the five years since his arrival however, they have scored an average of well over 106, with a whopping 121 their best in the 2011/12 campaign.

Ronaldo personally has been responsible for an average of over 35 goals per season, with his superb 46 in 2011/12 contributing heavily to the team’s fantastic final tally.

Looking at his form so far this season, he could well be on course for a record breaking season.
