Barcelona survived a late scare to claim a crucial three points against Ajax. Goals from Neymar and Lionel Messi had the Catalans in control early on, before Anwar El Ghazi pulled one back with two minutes left. But as the Dutch side pushed forward, so substitute Sandro clinched the 3-1 result.

Brazilian star Neymar continued his impressive partnership with Messi, feeding off a pass from the Argentine to net the opening goal. On this evidence, Luis Suarez is going to struggle to get into the team when he returns from suspension this weekend.
