Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has come in for some real criticism this season – with the goalkeeper’s lack of command and organisational skills contributing to the side’s disorganised and leaky defence which is the root of their troubles both domestically and in Europe.

The Reds have already been linked with the likes of Victor Valdes as a replacement for the Belgian, but Mignolet has been so poor that there are plenty of reserve goalkeepers across Europe who could get a game for Brendan Rodgers’ side. Here are five:

Keylor Navas (Real Madrid)

Real Madrid signed goalkeeper Keylor Navas from Levante this summer on the back of a fine World Cup with Costa Rica and excellent campaign in La Liga, but he is yet to force his way past Iker Casillas and into Carlo Ancelotti’s side, whilst reports have also linked Real to another stopper in Manchester United star David de Gea.
