The £75m summer signing from Liverpool has been serving a four-month ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini at this summer’s World Cup.
Suarez had already bitten an opponent twice during his professional career prior to his chomp on Chiellini.
Barcelona teammate Gerard Pique admits that the Uruguayan striker gets teased in training about his unusual habit.
“Of course we have been teasing him a little bit,” Pique told reporters.
“Last week we had a defensive drill to practise dealing with crosses. He was the attacker and I had to defend against him and two or three times we were fighting to get to the ball first and I’d say, ‘Don’t bite me’. He just smiles.”
