He is one of the foremost experts on La Liga football, and has given his opinion on Twitter about which players deserve to be in a combined El Clasico XI ahead of the clash between Real Madrid and Barcelona this evening. There are some shocking exclusions and a couple of bizarre choices too.

An unusual choice considering he is not even the first choice for Real Madrid at the moment.
RB) Dani Carvajal
The right back position is arguably one of the weakest positions for both sides, but Carvajal is the first choice of many.
CB) Sergio Ramos
One of the best centre-backs around at the moment, understandably the first choice at the back.
CB) Pepe
Another controversial choice by the Spanish journalist, with most fans and pundits favourite Raphael Varane or Jeremy Mathieu.
LB) Jordi Alba
The pacy left-back is both solid defensively and devastating going forward. First choice over Marcelo.
