Belgian powerhouse Fellaini had a woeful debut season at Old Trafford, due in no small part to David Moyes’s insistence on playing his former Everton charge in an unfamiliar holding role, but did manage to net his first Man United goal last weekend.

Louis van Gaal will look to secure a buyer for Fellaini and is apparently set to welcome in Colombian international Guarin as his replacement.

28 year old Guarin moved to the San Siro in January 2012, after a hugely successful four year spell at FC Porto, and was a regular in the Inter Milan first team set-up in his first two seasons.

This term however Guarin has started just two of Inter’s seven Serie A fixtures and could perhaps be keen on a move to Man United where he would offer Van Gaal some real guile and a genuine threat in the final third.
