Sergio Aguero Recalls Life Mario Balotelli Antics: Italian Striker Used To Say ‘F*** The Police’

More of Super Mario’s wacky antics are revealed in Sergio Aguero’s new book.

The Daily Mirror are serialising Sergio Aguero’s biography, and unsurprisingly the Argentinian striker is using his friendship with Mario Balotelli as a source of great material.

The two were friends while Balotelli was at Manchester City, and Aguero shares some great stories about their relationship.

When Aguero scored the winning goal against QPR, to win Manchester City the title, Aguero remembers Balotelli shouting at him:

“You f***ing idiot! I love you big b***cks!”

Mario certainly has a love of bad language. When Aguero was injured and watching Manchester City play Barcelona in the Champions League, he got a call from a number he didn’t recognise. He picked up and heard a familiar voice say:

“Hey! It’s Mario! How’s it going d***head? Come on City, come on City.”

Balotelli then hung up, his point made.

Aguero puts Balotelli’s antics down to “attention seeking”, and says that “a lot of his behaviour… came from a feeling he had that he was somehow different and maybe a little insecure.”

Some of Balotelli’s antics, like throwing cheese around or kicking the balls away, are just childish; but some were less amusing.

“Sometimes he’d get a message from reception saying the police wanted to speak to him and he’d say ‘f**k the police!’, then he’d remember that he’d driven past the police pretty quickly.

Baloteli is not having such a fun time at Liverpool. His only goal in ten games came against Ludogorets in the Champions League, and he’s missed plenty of easy chances.

The Italian striker was recently dropped from the international squad due to his poor performances, and many will wonder whether he has the character to turn things round at Liverpool. Aguero, on the other hand, is going from strength to strength as one of the best strikers in the world.
