The 20 year old Brazilian has been in amazing form this season and is the Primeira Liga’s top scorer having already netted seven times this term.
Talisca only moved to the Portuguese capital in the summer and has signed a five year deal with Benfica and that may explain his hefty valuation.
Benfica paid just £3m for Talisca so the demand for more than ten times that outlay is perhaps steep but will no doubt lead to Chelsea, and other prospective suitors, steering well clear.
Jose Mourinho may feel the need to bring in another striking weapon given Diego Costa’s ongoing injury concerns and Didier Drogba’s advancing years and it’s clear Talisca is a player with a bright future indeed.
