Jose Mourinho’s unbeaten Chelsea travel to Shropshire to take on Shrewsbury Town in round four of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.
The Premier League leaders, who were held to a 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Sunday, are expected to name a strong XI at the New Meadow, with Mourinho having a history of taking the League Cup very seriously.
Chelsea began their challenge in this season’s competition with a 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers last month, while Shrewsbury have seen off Blackpool, Leicester City and Norwich City to reach this stage.
Like Chelsea, Shrewsbury will go into the game in fine form. The League Two promotion chasers have won their last four games and are unbeaten in 10 matches at home.
Chelsea’s last meeting with Shrewsbury came back in 2003 when two goals from Gianfranco Zola helped the Blues to a 4-0 victory.
The match will be live on Sky Sports with coverage starting at 7.30pm. If you don’t have a Sky subscription why not grab yourself a NOW TV Sky Sports Day Pass – Pay As You Go access to all 6 Sky Sports channels for the first time ever!
